1. Clean and assemble models.
2. Glue sand to the tops of the bases.
3. Spray with black paint.
4. Use thinned down black paint to fill in any parts the spray missed.

Blue (armour)

1. Start with a basecoat of Necron Abyss.
2. Then liberally highlight with Regal Blue. Be sure to cover all edges while doing this. I covered abut a third of the blue armour in this stage.
3. Carefully pick out all the edges with Ultramarines Blue.
4. Pick out the most pronounced edges with Space Wolves Grey.
5. Wash all over the blue areas with Asurmen Blue.

Crimson (armour, purity seals, lenses, squad/chapter markings)

1. Start with a basecoat of Mechrite Red.
2. Carefully pick out the edges with Blood Red.
3. Pick out the raised edges with Fiery Orange.
4. Make very small highlights with Bleached Bone
5. Wash with Baal Red

Khaki (cloth, leather, parchment)

1. Basecoat with Khemri Brown.
2. Highlight with Kommando Khaki, leaving the previous colour only in the recesses.
3. Make small highlights with Bleached bone.
4. Wash with Delvan Mud.

Black (weapon casings, hair)

1. Basecoat with Chaos Black.
2. Liberally highlight with Adeptus Battlegrey.
3. Carefully pick out the edges with Codex Grey.
4. Pick out raised edges with Fortress Grey.
5. Wash with Badab Black.

Metal (weapons, chest eagle, decorative elements)

1. Basecoat with Boltgun Metal.
2. Liberally highlight with Chainmail
3. Pick out raised edges and wing tips with Mithral Silver
4. Wash with Badab Black.
5. Lightly Drybrush blades with Mithral Silver

Flesh (uh, duh?)

1. Basecoat with Dark Flesh
2. Highlight with Tarllan Flesh, leaving the previous colour only visible in the recesses.
3. Make small highlights with Elf Flesh, focusing on nose, eyebrow ridges etc.
4. Make tiny highlights with Bleached Bone.
5. Wash with Ogryn Flesh.

Brown (hair)

1. Basecoat with Scorched Brown.
2. Overbrush with Bestial Brown.
3. Highlight with Bleached Bone.
4. Wash with Delvan Mud.

Bases

1. Paint the top of the base with Chaos Black if necessary.
2. Drybrush the top of the base with Codex Grey.
3. Drybrush the outside of the top of the base with Skull White.
4. Paint the rim of the base with Scorched Brown.
5. Now spray the model with varnish.

Ingredients

• 4 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
• 4 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
• 4 Tablespoons Dry Sherry
• 1 Tablespoon Chilli Oil* (optional)
• Red Wine Vinegar
• 2-3 Cloves of Garlic, crushed (about 1 heaped teaspoon)
• 1 Heaped Teaspoon Grated Ginger
• 1 Medium Onion, sliced
• 1 Zucchini, cut into sticks (or other vegetables of choice)
• 400g Stir-Fry Chicken
• 375g Ubaldi Fettuccine**
• Salt
• Pepper
• Dried Chilli Flakes (optional)
• Cooking Oil
• Water

Method

1. Combine Sesame Oil, Soy Sauce, Sherry, Chilli Oil and a few drops of Vinegar in a bowl to create the sauce
2. Heat a large saucepan or wok (or, in my case, a cast-iron casserole) on to a high heat. Add a good splash of oil, ginger, garlic, onion, a little salt and a fair whack of pepper and chilli. Fry off briefly.
3. Add the chicken to the pan, stir-fry until the chicken changes colour.
4. Add zucchini, and a little water to deglaze.
5. Add noodles and mix well. Add a cup of water and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add more water if the pan gets dry. Cook for longer if you want the noodles softer than el-dente.
6. Add sauce, and continue too cook until the alcohol is cooked off. Add more water if dish is too dry, then serve.

* Not the actual oil of chillies, but rather a chilli-infused oil.
** This is fresh pasta that cooks in 2 minutes. Any brand that does that will be fine. You could adapt the recipe to use any noodles you like.

Even when his beast side is dominant, Pask is more given to flight than fight. Nevertheless, when forced to defend himself the results are usually bloody…

Pask Neathhallow, the were-rat, tries to avoid conflict as much as possible, preferring to flee instead. If forced to fight , the results are typically brief and bloody, as ‘fighting like a cornered rat’ is paired with a lycanthrope’s supernatural abilities. In this image Pask is turning to fight, while trying to suppress the panicked instincts of his animal side. The fact that his eyes have turned red are indicative of the animal side starting to take over

If Pask can keep his animal instincts in check he will probably be able to get past his assailants without unnecessary bloodshed, as he is nearly indestructible (except against silver, of course). If he can’t, he’ll likely have blood on his hands. Or claws, as the case may be.

Depending on who you ask, I may have been born in the year of the rat. Or maybe the year of the ox. Seems there are a few days where it my be one or the other.
